Something To Think About ....

My husband got the H1N1 flu shot at work ......the news says people that live in a house with small children should get it and pregnant women and so on. I was going to go get it and take my almost 2 year old as I'm pregnant and we lived in a house with a baby under 6 months.

The day we were going to go I backed out....I have been seeing and hearing too many stories about things happening to people after getting the shot. I thought about my boy and how bad I'd feel if I took him to give him some shot full of god knows what and something bad happened to him because I made him have it. I thought of my unborn baby and right when the baby is in the middle of developing all it's important organs and things and what shooting a bunch of chemicals and such might do to it....I'm a worrier !

I of course thought about the flip side too... the what if we don't get it and then my son gets sick and once again it's my fault because I didn't get him the shot.

I have just heard too many stories about how they pumped the vaccine out so fast and it was never really tested and thought ...well years later because it does take years to see the real effect things have in people as a whole what if they realize they should have never ever given it to people..I'm crazy maybe I don't know !

This was all before Christmas and still today I get up and the first thing I see on my news website is this story! So I'm glad I didn't get it and make my babies get it, I'm not telling anyone not to do it. I'm just saying how I feel about it , if you did get it I'm glad it didn't hurt you and if you are one of the unlucky ones that it did hurt ...I'm very sorry.

Now I don't need a bunch of people yelling at me about vaccines and thinking I'm against them...there are a lot of them that have been around and have been tested lots and are proven to work ! My babies always go get their needles or shots if you want to call them that . I know some people don't get those for their kids and I guess that is up to them ,I have always done it...I had them when I was little and I'm still alive and millions of other have had them and they are fine so I just figure they are safe.

Really there is no point to this post ,I just got up seen that story on the news and thought ....I feel like I made the right choice for me and my babies and I hope everyone else thinks about it before hand instead of just running out to get them because people on TV or wherever tell you to....they do what they are told or paid to do...you are the one in charge of the well being of your family ...do what's right for you!

Not So Bad !

I took them to have their picture done for the first time together on Sunday. She kept trying to grab him and he wouldn't sit closer to her,but I thought this one was kind of cute with her hand on his back.

Kids Today.....WTH ? !!!

Kids today get upset when they do something they know they shouldn't and then their teacher gives them a detention or calls and tells their parents. Maybe they should take their tiny punishment and be happy about it or better yet follow the rules and don't get themselves in trouble in the first place. They should all feel lucky though they live here and not in Saudi Arabia where a 13 year old girl got this as her punishment ! I think it's crazy she would get that kind of punishment and back home a girl I know older sister 's boyfriend took her 4 month old shook her choked her and hit her all over and she was in such bad shape they didn't know if she would live and if she did she would be brain damaged forever ......miraculously she has recovered and the worst of it is she will be blind in one eye forever ,the doctors say everything else is fine and after two months being in the hospital she was able to go home.

The boyfriend that did it was out on $500 bail after he was arrested and was going to court in January but it was pushed back to later in February and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets next to nothing and they will use the fact that the poor baby is doing so much better and didn't die to get him off light ! To me if you do something so awful you should have a punishment that fits the crime and just because the poor victim recovered doesn't mean you didn't hurt them in the first place!

I just don't get how things can go so extreme one way or the other without anyone in charge having any common sense on how things really should be handled. So tell me do you think that 13 year old girl deserves her punishment and the jerk that almost killed a little baby should be able to spend Christmas with his friends and family while that baby spends it in pain in the hospital and his mommy only had to pay a measly $500 to get him out of jail ?

I am not that nice...if my kid did something like that to a baby their ass would still be in jail ,because I do not approve and I wouldn't bother getting them out...they did it ...it's wrong and they would have to pay the price for their actions !

Neosporin Lip Health 3-Day Challenge !

I had a chance to do the Neosporin Lip Health 3- Day Challenge and I'm glad I did ! I get a cold sore about once or twice every year I have ever since I was a kid and one of my daughters get it too ! I just happened to have it the day before I got my package to try out for the Neosporin Challenge, the stuff I use to get rid of it really drys out my lips... bad to the point they crack and bleed...yuck ! My little fella is at the age when he likes to give kisses and always wants to on your lips, well I wouldn't let him and he was not impressed with me at all !
So as soon as I knew it was gone I started using the Neosporin Lip Therapy and was very impressed with how well it really works . I mean I figured it would because of how well Neosporin works on cuts and things when you use it but the Lip Therapy is great in a matter of a couple days it had my lips back to normal from the cracked dry mess they were . It didn't even take 3 days to fix them ,but I used it anyways and now I'm going to be using it whenever my lips are dry and chapped and I'll be taking that with me as my lip balm when I go to the hospital to have the new baby. I always take a lip balm of some sort anyways because I find with all the hours of labor your lips tend to dry out really bad and this time I already know what I'm packing to take with me!
The cold, dry air and brittle winds of winter inevitably leave our lips chapped, dehydrated, and damaged. Many of us dread this season as we come to expect uncomfortable lip-splitting and cracking, fading color and scaly texture. To help repair and protect lips from the harsh cold-weather elements, Neosporin introduces Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy and Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration Therapy. Clinically shown to restore visibly healthier lips in just 3 days, these formulas help lips become more hydrated, smoother, and appear back to their normal tone.
Neosporin brings its science and expertise in skin health and healing to its Lip Health line through a patented combination of lipids, fatty acids and antioxidants. While Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal works to sooth, restore and hydrate my lips while I sleep, the Daily Hydration Therapy not only contains SPF 20 but also absorbs quickly- a feature in itself that may have me tossing out all of my other goopy lip products and lip sticks. Whether you apply all day or slather on every night before bed, Neosporin Lip Health rapidly nourishes lips and works to repair them with its unique formula including peptides, vitamins and emollients. Just throw one in your bag and you're good to go!
"I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Neosporin and received a sample of the Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy and the Lip Health Daily Hydration Therapy to facilitate my review and a $20 thank-you gift certificate."

General Mills and You !

I have been eating General Mills cereals ever since I was a kid . My children have all been eating it since they were very little,in fact Cheerios are one of the first finger foods all my babies ate . They are great, they are perfect for little ones just starting to get the hang of picking things up and eating them on their own.
Cereal is a great, fast and healthy way to start the day or to have your kids start their day before heading off to school. Cereal also makes a easy snack to give kids through out the day instead of feeding them chips or candy or other things aimed at children.
I was given some coupons to get a couple boxes of cereal to do this review ,which was great for me because we eat it everyday and my 2 year old eats it as a snack different times throughout the day .
It's a proven fact that when you give your child a healthy breakfast in the morning, they do better in school throughout the day . Compared to children who skip breakfast, children who eat breakfast score higher on tests, are less likely to miss class or be tardy, have fewer reported discipline problems, and make fewer trips to the office.
General Mills announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain.
Did you know that ready-to-eat cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters? Cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients, making cereal a top source of key nutrients in children´s diets.
The thing about General Mills is they have a wide variety of cereals so you can count on finding something everyone in your family will like...including that child that doesn't ever like anything !
With brands such as Cheerios, Wheaties, Lucky Charms, Total and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Big G has favorites for every family.
The entire Big G line is made with whole grains, which can play an important role in health.
The complex combination of vitamins, minerals, fiber and other substances found naturally in whole grains work together to help reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.
To find out more about the benefits of eating cereal ,you can go to their site and read lots of information on it. While you are there take a look around ,the site has tons of stuff to read and links to go to and things to do. They even have a coupon page where you can print off coupons before you go shopping again.
I would like to thank MyBlogSpark and General Mills for the opportunity to review their great products.
Now I want you to tell me...what's your favorite cereal or your kid's or tell me both if you like !

Busy With Life !

I haven't been posting on my blog very much lately and I haven't really even been reading any . A group of the girls that I became close to through the blogs and I have been spending all our time on Facebook and none of us have been bothering with our blogs. However I have lots of people on fb that are from my real life and I don't tell them about the blog or twitter so if I ever feel like ranting or whatever about anyone I know from my life I can do it here without them knowing .

Thousands of contests have gone by in the last few months and I haven't entered anything...no chance of winning at all if you don't enter...so I'm going to get back into blogging...writing,reading and entering contests...now that my morning sickness is gone and I don't feel sick 24/7.

I was supposed to do a blog post weeks ago and never did and just happened to remember it this morning so ...I have to get myself in gear and get it done sometime soon! My house has been in shambles ever since we moved in late November and now I really do need to get my act together and get things unpacked and settled !

I have been a bad wife and haven't really been cooking like I use to for a very long time, so I have decided to start cooking meals again like every good little wifey should ..haha
I'm going to get a couple recipes a week that I have never cooked and try them out and all the ones we like save them to make again and the ones we don't forget about. So when I do make things I'll post them on here so later I can look back and see how well we liked it.

If there is anyone still left out there checking to see if I'm alive..I am ! I went to the doctor for the first time a couple weeks ago and seen the baby in there with a strong little heartbeat so that was one less thing I now have to stress over... now if Avery would ever get some teeth and stop being so cranky all the time that would be one more thing to be off the crazy list of my life right now !
